Practical Information

Your children will always receive a day ticket for the respective course dates and can therefore spend the whole day at the Lido. For the duration of the course, you can accompany them to the swimming pool free of charge. We ask you to arrive on time and have your children put on their swimming costumes in advance. Please note that street shoes are not allowed in the pool area. For the duration of the course, we recommend that you do not stay close to the pool, so that the children are not distracted by the presence of chaperones. You will only have to pick them up at the end of the course. If you wish to swim yourself for the duration of the course or stay at the Lido with your children before/after the course, please inform the cashier and pay the admission fee. Children should not be in the water before the start of the course so that they do not get tired while learning to swim and do not get cold too quickly. We recommend wearing goggles for the course and a swimming cap for children with long hair. Goggles and swimming cap can also be purchased at the Lido ticket office. If your child is over or under committed in the respective course due to his or her swimming ability, the swimming instructors can move him or her to another group to ensure the best and most successful lessons for all participants.

Course duration / bad weather
Courses are held daily from Monday to Friday. In case of bad weather, the course will be postponed to Saturday. We will keep you updated in our WhatsApp group (see below).

Course costs
The course fee must be paid directly at the Lido cash desk, at the latest at the end of the first session of the swimming course. This makes participation binding and there are no refunds.
The course fee is € 65.00, which includes 6 admissions (5 days of course plus an additional free admission for the child), plus € 5.00 deposit for the membership card. If the child already has a membership card, the course fee will be reduced to € 55.00. For a second course or each additional course there is an additional discount of € 5.00. For siblings there is also a discount of € 5.00 for each week of the course starting with the second child. Please provide us with this information at the till when paying for the course, so that we can apply the discount. If you have also enrolled children of friends in the course, please also inform us of this information.

Course continuation
In order to help your child become familiar with swimming and to learn the techniques as best as possible, we recommend taking swimming lessons for a minimum of two weeks. It is advisable to register as early as possible in order to get the desired place.

WhatsApp group
In order to inform you in good time in case of last-minute changes to dates (e.g. due to bad weather), we will organise a WhatsApp group with all course participants for the respective session. If you do not wish to join the WhatsApp group and instead wish to be informed by other means, please let us know in advance. To avoid unnecessary harassment, we recommend that you only write in this group chat in urgent cases. However, you are welcome to inform us of your child's absence for the respective day. For all other suggestions and personal questions, please contact the staff directly.

Individual lessons for children and adults
Individual lessons can also be booked. The number and time will be agreed with the swimming instructor.
